Registration is now open for Hungarian industrial companies to take part in the 10th anniversary edition of Modern Factories Night. For one evening, factories across the country will open their doors to local communities, families and the next generation of professionals. Organized by the Hungarian Economic Development Agency (MGFÜ), the event will take place for the tenth time on November 13.

A record 128 factories from every county in Hungary took part in last year’s Modern Factories Night, attracting around 6.000 registrations for factory tours, HR Portal reported, citing a statement from MGFÜ. The participating companies represented a wide range of industries, from food production and pharmaceuticals to automotive manufacturing. Major domestic facilities included Magyar Suzuki, Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország, Michelin Hungária, Magyar Vagon, Béres and Soproni.

Organizers are expecting an even larger turnout for the anniversary edition. Participation is not limited to large corporations: small and medium-sized enterprises, family-owned businesses and factories located outside the country’s major urban centers have been an important part of the initiative for years.

Factory work today means robots, not oily overalls

Modern Factories Night demonstrates that Hungarian industry today is about world-class technologies, innovative solutions and a high level of professional expertise. The Hungarian Economic Development Agency is working to make these achievements tangible and accessible to as wide an audience as possible through factory visits.

“We want employees and young people to see factories as modern working environments offering genuine professional opportunities and prospects for development. The event also gives local communities and families an unique opportunity to step inside factories and see what goes on behind their gates. The program is therefore about showcasing industry, supporting career orientation and strengthening ties with local communities” - said Tamás Fehérváry, Managing Director of the Hungarian Economic Development Agency.

Prospective employees and their parents will have the opportunity to see first-hand that factory work today is no longer about oily overalls, but about robotic arms, tablet-based controls and clean, modern production halls. Building trust with local communities is another key objective of the event, giving participating factories the opportunity to show visitors how they operate in practice.

Manufacturers wishing to take part can register their facilities and tours on the official website: www.moderngyarakejszakaja.hu.
