The "Night of Modern Factories" has reached a milestone: nearly 120 factories and plants have joined the program series taking place on November 13. Visitors can look forward to both in-person and online factory tours, offering an up-close look at the cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions driving Hungary’s industrial sector.

This year marks the tenth edition of the "Night of Modern Factories," an event during which factories across Hungary open their doors to the public. The nationwide program series aims to bring Hungarian industry closer to the general public, offering a direct look into the operations, technological advancements, and value-creating activities of domestic enterprises. The event is organized by the Hungarian Economic Development Agency, an institution dedicated to enterprise development, under the professional guidance of the Ministry of Economy and Energy.

At a press conference announcing this year’s event – hosted by the Gerbeaud Café – Dr. Ágnes Fábián, State Secretary for Economic Development at the Ministry of Economy and Energy, presented the jubilee program series. She highlighted that, once again, visitors will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how modern industry operates. "On this occasion, too, visitors can experience firsthand what modern manufacturing entails; they can see automated production lines, robotic processes, digital solutions, and technologies that represented the future just a few years ago, but which, fortunately, are now part of the daily operations of an increasing number of businesses," the State Secretary highlighted.

The press event also featured a roundtable discussion, during which representatives from three companies participating in the program – TRUMPF Hungary Kft., Rákosy Glass Kft., and HEINEKEN Hungária Zrt. – shared their experiences. The participants discussed the development of the modern domestic industrial sector, technological innovations, and corporate best practices. Ádám Fodor, Marketing and Communications Director at MGFÜ, opened the discussion by reading out feedback from previous visitors. This feedback indicated a significant interest in gaining firsthand insight into modern industrial processes. The corporate representatives agreed that the "Night of Modern Factories" serves multiple purposes: it promotes knowledge sharing and career orientation, enhances the visibility of businesses, and fosters an appreciation for technological advancement.

Businesses wishing to join can still sign up on the event's official website: https://moderngyarakejszakaja.hu/

The project titled "Provision of Targeted Enterprise Development Services for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises" (identified as GINOP PLUSZ-1.1.1-22-2022-00001) is being implemented within the framework of the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, with support from the European Union. The total cost of the project, comprising both European Union and domestic co-financing, amounts to 8 billion Hungarian Forints, with a planned completion date of December 31, 2027.
