Analysing and fostering industrial symbiotic relations in Hungarian energy producing and building sector
EIT-KIC was the first sector specific industrial symbiosis project IFKA delivered. The aim was to discover the ongoing industrial symbiotic collaborations in Hungary between the targeted sectors:
energy producing and building industry.
What is the policy background? Do the companies experience a supportive environment to build collaborations? Are there any obstacles to overcome?
Who are the real stakeholders, the waste emittors of the energy-production and the building industry?
During the project lifetime we ran 2 workshops for experts of the 2 areas, and we had a final conference, in December 2014.
We visited a large number of companies in order to get to know to their material flows and their use.
