Details

ISIM-TCC – Industrial Symbiosis as an Innovative Method in Tackling Climate Change LIFE+ Environment.

The National Industrial Symbiosis Programme is funded by the EU through its LIFE+ Programme, and delivered free to businesses by IFKA and International Synergies Limited (ISL).

Our mission is the utilization of industrial wastes and other spare resources through the creation of new business opportunities.

Our aim is that Hungarian industrial production, will divert surplus waste from landfills and enable it to be re-utilized through the new business opportunities.

The project aims to build a bridge between the production and processing companies through the recovery and re-use of under utilised resources. The synergies identified will be promoted through the programme as examples of good practice. Interested companies are welcome to join the programme through our free events or by contcating us through email or via the telephone. In addition to workshops on Industrial Symbiosis, the programme delivers free advice on a number of other areas including corporate and business management, greening the office, savings on raw material production, environmental management and life cycle analysis. During the workshops, the participating companies inform the programme of resources they have and want which produce opportunities to explore.

Potential synergies are identified which will require further work to complete. The identified resources are recorded in a programme management database, meaning that synergies can be identified that fit the material offered in the workshop.

The project is funded by the European Union LIFE+ programme.

Its total budget is 793 485 EUR.
