The CI-HUB aims to improve the innovation potential of less innovative regions, regions with low innovation performance and weak innovation infrastructure, and largely non-urban industrial regions. The project aims to support circular transitions in the two most challenging circular supply chains - the plastics and metal processing sector and the construction sector. This type of innovative programme does not yet exist in the European Union and the CI-Hub project is the first targeted programme of its kind at transnational level.
The main objectives of CI-Hub are:
Solutions - user acceptance model, community e-platform, training academy - to be adopted or even further developed by organisations.
The possibility for participating organisations to network effectively through their involvement in cross-border cooperation activities.
Adoption of common, comprehensive strategies and action plans.
The project is supported by the EU co-funded Interreg Danube Region programme.
The project corresponds to the Danube Region Programme Priority 1: A more competitive and smarter Danube Region.
Project budget: EUR 2.351.006,74
Interreg funding: EUR 1.880.805,39
